Trend Hunt is an e-commerce intelligence tool that helps users discover trending products, analyse price arbitrage opportunities, and track market news. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data:
Information You Provide
- Username & Password — Created when you register an account inside the App. Passwords are hashed before storage and are never transmitted in plain text.
Automatically Collected Data
- Device Information — Device model, OS version, and app version used for crash analysis.
- Usage Analytics — Screen views, feature interactions, and session duration (via Firebase Analytics) to improve product quality.
- Crash & Performance Data — Stack traces and ANR reports (via Firebase Crashlytics) so we can fix bugs quickly.
- Advertising Identifiers — Google Advertising ID (GAID) used by AdMob to serve relevant ads. This can be reset or opted out via your device settings.
Data We Do NOT Collect
Firebase & Analytics
Trend Hunt uses Google Firebase services, including:
- Firebase Authentication – For secure user account management.
- Firebase Firestore / Realtime Database – To store user progress and settings in the cloud.
- Firebase Analytics – Collects anonymised usage events to help us understand how features are used.
- Firebase Crashlytics – Reports app crashes so we can resolve them quickly.

Advertising (Google AdMob)
Trend Hunt displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob to support free access to the App. AdMob may collect and use data to show you personalised ads based on your interests.
- AdMob may use your Google Advertising ID (GAID) to show relevant ads.
- AdMob may collect IP address, device information, and approximate location derived from IP.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation on your device.

Trend Hunt complies with Google's AdMob publisher policies. We do not direct interest-based ads at users who have disabled personalised advertising.
User Accounts
Trend Hunt offers an optional account system to save and sync your progress across devices.
- Accounts require only a username and password – no email or personal information is needed.
- Passwords are hashed on creation and are never stored or transmitted in plain text.
- Account data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore.
- You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us (see Contact section below).
⚠️ If you forget your username or password, account recovery is not possible since we do not collect any identifying contact information.
Third-Party Services
Trend Hunt integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase – firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob – policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Services – policies.google.com/privacy
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any other third parties.
Children's Privacy
Trend Hunt is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Analytics and crash data are retained per the default Google Firebase retention schedules (typically 14–60 days).
You may request permanent deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process your request within 30 days.

- Access – Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction – Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion – Request deletion of your account and associated data.

Account Deletion
We value your privacy and provide a simple way to delete your account and all associated data (including your username, password, and coin progress).
How to request deletion:
- Send an email to dilrafchat@gmail.com.
- Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line.
- Provide your Username in the body of the email.
Once we receive your request, we will verify your identity and permanently delete your data from our Firebase servers within 30 days. This action is irreversible.
